Personal data on this site is processed on the basis of legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Our legitimate interest is maintaining a non-commercial directory of craftsmen within the Ukrainian- and Russian-speaking diaspora in Italy, helping the community find people who offer assistance in their native language. We have conducted a balancing test and concluded that this interest does not override the rights and freedoms of data subjects, given the limited scope of data used (publicly available information only) and the ability for any individual to stop processing at any time.
Master cards are created based on recommendations shared in public online communities (for example, open Telegram groups). Only personal data that individuals have voluntarily shared publicly is included: name, Telegram handle, profile photo, city, and field of activity. No additional research is conducted and no data from closed or private sources is used. Initial data collection is carried out manually by human volunteers — no automated bots or scrapers are used for initial gathering. Although the collected information is stored in a database (necessary for the directory to function), no automated decision-making regarding data subjects takes place.
A master card may be added by the community as a recommendation. In such cases, although we perform a basic check, we cannot guarantee either the full accuracy of the information or that the master is aware of their profile on the site. We strive for maximum accuracy and update the database every few weeks to minimise outdated information. If you find an inaccuracy, please contact us or use the 'This is my card' feature.
The services listed on this site do not imply commercial or professional activity by a master. Some masters may offer services on a commercial basis; others may offer pro bono help or assistance out of goodwill. Under no circumstances may any information published on this site be used as evidence that an individual is conducting financial or business activity in Italy or any other country.
Under GDPR you have the following rights:
• Right of access (Article 15) — you may request confirmation of what personal data we process about you.
• Right to rectification (Article 16) — you may request correction of inaccurate data. Verified masters can edit their card directly on the site.
• Right to erasure (Article 17) — you may request deletion of your data (see 'Card Removal' section for details).
• Right to object (Article 21) — you may object to processing of your personal data on the grounds of legitimate interest. If your objection is substantiated we will cease processing.
• Right to lodge a complaint — you have the right to complain to the supervisory authority in your country (in Italy: Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).
To exercise any of these rights contact privacy@majstr.xyz.
If you find your card on the site, you can claim ownership of it. Once claimed, you can edit, update, and promote your card on the site. Your Telegram account is the verification mechanism: if your handle matches the card data, the claim is approved automatically. Otherwise the request is sent to our team for review.
If your card is listed without your knowledge and you wish to remove it, you can do so immediately using the 'This is my card' feature and choosing 'Take down'. The card will be hidden from the directory immediately. Our team will review the minimal confirmation you provide (sufficient to confirm the card data relates to you) and permanently delete the card and all related data from our service within 30 days. We perform this check solely to prevent abuse. For urgent requests: privacy@majstr.xyz.
Personal data is retained for as long as a card is active in the directory, or until a removal request is received. Following a confirmed removal request, all personal data including photographs is deleted from our systems and backups within 30 days.
